Move over Chocolate...

I have discovered my new favourite sweet thing. No, it's not a fabulously hot neighbour...but that would be equally as wonderful as Cream Cheese Frosting.
OMG. Yummmmm.
During my baking madness for Hallowe'en I found a homemade cream cheese frosting recipe online. Yes, I got it from the Internet Bank & not my great aunt's cookbook.
It is fabulous on everything. I made up a batch & kept it in the fridge for 3weeks, adding it random items when I was having a sugar/cheese cake craving.
This Frosting is the best of 2worlds. It's like cheese cake in frosting form.

8oz cream cheese softened
1/4 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1.5 tsp vanilla

Bowl: blend softened C.C. w/ butter till creamy. Mix in Vanilla. Stir in sugar.

It is great as a filling for cookie sandwiches. Make round sugar cookies, spread a layer of C.CH. Frosting between cookies & smoosh together. YUM. Your very own homemade cream sandwich cookies. My sister & I ate too many of these creations.
For Hallowe'en I made eyeball sugar cookies & then created Eyeball Sandwiches.
Haha. So good.

Remember to always think twice...

...and don't go around breaking young girls' hearts [boys in my case].
Although this is great advice, it doesn't allow for much fun does it?

I do have to support the idea that you should always review your initial decisions & operate with a calm, cool, & collected mind or you may find yourself in deep shit.

But being that responsible & rational one is never truly any fun, and I do dislike being type-casted into this role just b/c I am the eldest AND a Capricorn. Stupid level-headed capricornian traits I must endure! No matter, I do however stress that we all have to take responsibility for our decisions as they reflect who we are. Beware of your thoughts b/c they become words; beware of your words as they become action; beware of your actions as they become ur character..etc. etc.

Perhaps I no longer wish to be THAT person who is the calm, responsible & mature one who counsells everyone else; always taking the time to ensure that others are safe, comfortable, and their voices heard. Serious & alert, always on guard to protect and serve the emotional & pychological well-being of Others.

I don't want to be The One in Charge anymore. I want to be free to twirl, laugh & run through leaves w/o guilt for enjoying my life.

Take care of yourself, I'm Out to Lunch.

Things that make me smile

Recently I've discovered a love for turquoise. A year ago you may of managed to get me to mumble a positive comment regarding this startling colour, however before then I would of shouted my distaste at viewing turqouise, particularly in home decor. But, I have reformed! I love it. Turquoise & chocolate. wow. The combination makes me dream. It evokes a feeling of enchantment and calmness. It is definately a luxurious colour when applied sparingly and with reserved deep hues. Apparently the Aztecs were fans of the mineral; as such they adorned their homes & selves with it. Perhaps the history of turquoise summons romantic notions affecting our senses to feel wonderfully glorious in its presence. The connection to a past Mesoamerican empire definately stirs images of great warriors and unrestrained wilderness. Or maybe i'm just a wreckless romantic.

I however still dislike turquoise jewellry. blach. especially with gold. bad taste ppl. You will never catch me wearing turqoise, unless of course you are a Aztec warrior presenting me with a turquoise embedded knife or mask proclaiming your unyielding love for me & my beautiful brain. Any way I look at it now, turquoise opens a small glow of happiness in the pit of my soul. I may not wear it, but you will see splashes of its vibrance in my craft designs.
